Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data GHL Apps processes when operating the WA Business Connector product (the "Service") and why. The Service links a WhatsApp number to your CRM platform.
1. What data we process
To bridge WhatsApp and your CRM, the Service processes:
- Phone numbers — yours and those of the contacts who message you or whom you contact.
- Message content passing between WhatsApp and the CRM, in transit, so it can be delivered.
- Message identifiers and receipts, to correlate a CRM message with its WhatsApp counterpart, report delivered/read status, and avoid processing the same message twice.
- Access tokens issued by your CRM platform when you install the app, needed to write into your conversations.
- Number connection data (the state of the WhatsApp session).
2. How we use it
Only to operate the Service: routing messages between WhatsApp and your CRM, reflecting delivery and read receipts, keeping your numbers connected, and enforcing your plan's usage limits. We do not sell or rent your data, nor use it for third-party advertising.
3. Storage and retention
We store the minimum needed for the Service to work: access tokens, message correlation identifiers, and the numbers' connection state. Deduplication identifiers are kept only as long as needed to avoid duplicates and are purged periodically. When you uninstall the app we revoke the access tokens and stop operating your account.
4. Third parties
The Service depends on third parties to function: WhatsApp and Meta (through which messages travel) and your CRM platform (where conversations are reflected). Data processing by those third parties is governed by their own privacy policies. The Service is not a WhatsApp or Meta product.
5. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect the tokens and data we process, including webhook signature verification and storing credentials outside any public repository. No system is completely foolproof; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
You may request information about the data we process, its correction, or its deletion by writing to the contact email. The most direct way to stop processing is to uninstall the app.
